Anti Wrinkle Creams - Solution To Physical Signs of Aging

Many people use anti wrinkle creams to conceal their real age and looking young has been the major concern of people nowadays. In fact, there are numerous brands available in the market and each has a unique formulation that promises younger looking skin with regular use.

A lot of anti wrinkle creams are selling in the market however, selecting the best product that will suit your skin type should be the main priority. You should choose an anti wrinkle product that would give you the most favorable benefits. Also, consulting a professional would be very beneficial in helping you deal with the right product that would match your skin.

One component that can be found in several anti aging products is retinol which is a form of Vitamin A. Anti wrinkle creams that contain retinol are known to prevent the early signs of aging. Retinol can also renew the skin’s elasticity. Another potent ingredient which can be found in anti aging products is coenzyme Q10. There are other potent anti aging elements that can be found in many anti wrinkle products. Some products contain green tea extract or other forms of tea extracts while others contain hydroxyl acids.

Well-advertised brands that carry a good line of anti wrinkle creams include Olay, Proactive, Ponds, Nivea and L’oreal. High end brands such as Clinique, Creme and Christian Dior also offer good choices. However, making the right choice always depends on your skin type. Remember that not all skin types are the same and it only takes one cream to prove that. With the number of brand names making a choice is a challenge in itself.

It is also important to choose a product that that carries a trusted name, one that is recommended by beauty and skin care experts and had undergone clinical tests. The Coenzyme Q10 helps in achieving a firmer and tighter looking skin. This is the active ingredient in Nivea Visage Coenzyme Q10 Plus eye cream which is effective in treating wrinkles and other problems around the eye area.

Crème de la Mer by Crème is a unique anti aging product. It does not contain any of the aforementioned potent ingredients known to reduce wrinkles. Its formula is known as a miracle broth. It combined vitamins and minerals and other natural ingredients. There is nothing extraordinary about its ingredients. What makes it powerful is the way these ingredients work when combined altogether.

Another product that promises multiple benefits is Olay Total Effects by Olay. Its main feature is its unique formulation which effectively targets 7 signs of aging and skin damage which include darkening, enlarged pores, wrinkles, dullness and uneven skin tone.

Knowing the right skin care products that can prevent the visible signs of aging is important if you always want to look your best. Find out more about these products on my website and see what’s in store for you and your skin. Read on.

Get Rid of Wrinkles

Get Rid of Wrinkles with Effective Beauty Agents

Get rid of wrinkles with effective beauty compounds found in skin care products today? We will look at what are these agents and their beautifying effect on our skin.

These beauty compounds are:

1. Hyaluronic Acid
2. Almond Oil
3. Grape Seed Oil
4. Green Tea Extract
5. Glycerin

1. Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a natural jelly-like compound found in the skin tissue of all organisms. This acid functions as a water retainer and lubricant against mechanical and chemical wear and tear, and is an excellent stimulant for collagen growth. Collagen and elastin are responsible for skin elasticity.

Aging and exposure to sunlight and pollutants would result in a loss in this acid in our bodies. Likewise, if our skin tissues get a supply of hyaluronic acid either in the form of creams or injections, it will moisturize our skin from within the surface, restore skin elasticity and effectively get rid of wrinkles. In fact, hyaluronic acid has been used extensively in injections to remove frown lines, smoker’s lines, worry lines, crow’s feet and marionette lines and scars.

2. Almond Oil

Almond oil is extracted from almond kernels and is an excellent emollient that keeps our skin from drying. It is also one of the best cosmetic ingredients and because its molecules are way smaller than our human tissue molecules, they can penetrate deep beneath the skin up to 7 layers so that the moisturizing effect is beyond skin deep. Its fine texture makes it completely safe for all skin types. Apart from its emollient properties, it also soothes and softens our skin. Regular application of almond oil will restore the youthful glow to our skin and simultaneously get rid of wrinkles.

3. Grape Seed Oil

Grapeseed oil is a natural oil extracted from pressed French and Italian grape seeds. This is another emollient that is rich in vitamins, minerals and fatty acids such as docosanoic and linoleic. Many skin care and beauty products have grapeseed oil as its core ingredient for its emollient properties as well as others. Grapeseed oil has potent antioxidant content in the form of proanthocyanidins which protects our skin from free radicals and sunlight. Besides that, it aids regeneration of our skin tissues. Its astringent nature helps to tighten the loose facial skin, giving it a firm tone. The versatility of this ingredient makes it extremely valuable when used in cosmetics and skin care products to get rid of wrinkles.

4. Green Tea Extract

Green tea extract is prepared using leaves of “Camellia Sinensis” plant. Studies suggest that green tea extract has anti-aging properties and is able to get rid of wrinkles. Because of its high Vitamin C content, it offers our skin great protection against damage by free radicals and sunlight. Green tea extract is best known for its powerful antioxidant properties due to its EGCG content, which is reportedly 200 times more potent than Vitamin E. This greatly reduces the strain of free radicals and sunlight on our skin, reducing appearance of scars and wrinkles.

5. Glycerin

Glycerin is not new to the skin care and cosmetics industry. This humectant is found in both vegetable and animal oils and has been long used as an important beauty ingredient because of its ability to draw water from the air to moisturize our skin. It is such an outstanding water-attracting and binding agent that application of glycerin on our skin would keep our skin hydrated throughout the day.

Each of these beautifying ingredients has its own strengths. Imagine being able to tap on these powerful properties and formulating them into a single wrinkle cream? No, it is not a dream but Renuven, a new anti-wrinkle cream has combined these ingredients together into a powerful formula to get rid of wrinkles fast and restore your youthful looks. Not only does it promote wrinkle reduction, it has a secret ingredient called fractionated silicon dioxide that makes your wrinkles disappear within 1 minute. Get Rid Of Wrinkles 101

Get Rid Of Wrinkles – Causes and Types of Treatments

In order to get rid of wrinkles, women and now even men are willing to pay astronomical prices for expensive creams and plastic surgeries, fattening the cosmetic and plastic surgery industries. Wrinkles are a reminder of our age and can seriously mar our physical appearances. For some, fine lines start appearing even before they hit 40 years of age, and that can be worrying, especially for women. Let’s face it, everyone wants to look young forever, retain the supple and tender skin of our youth, and maintain the glow on our skin. The very least we want is to delay the appearance of wrinkles. Wrinkles on the contrary destroy all that!

If we want to get rid of wrinkles, we need to understand what the causes are first.

Aging

Aging is the number one cause of wrinkles. As we age, our skin starts losing elasticity, becomes poor in moisture retention and ineffective in skin repair. All these contribute to the development of depressions and sagging in our skin surface. These give us wrinkles.

Muscle Use and Contractions

Each time we smile, frown or make any facial expression, we are stretching our skin and causing it to lose elasticity over time. Frown lines, line that show up between the eyebrows and crows feet that appear on the corners of our eyes develop as a result of permanent muscle contraction.

Gravity

Gravity has its natural effect on skin sagging because of the weight of our skin resulting in drooping eyelids and jowls.

Exposure to Sunlight and Free Radicals

Excessive exposure to sunlight can lead to photoaging ie premature aging of our skin. Sunlight damage our collagen fibers and lead to excessive amounts and abnormality in elastin. When our skin suffers damage, an enzyme called metalloproteinase is formed to repair the damaged tissue. Healthy collagen fibers are damaged accidentally in the process. The whole skin repair process repeats itself over time and results in wrinkle development. Free radicals are basically oxygen molecules that can activate the formation of metalloproteinase. Air pollution and sunlight exposure makes one vulnerable to free radicals. Ozone, an air pollutant depletes the vitamin E, an antioxidant in our skin.

Smoking

It has been reported in medical researches that smoking lead to high levels of metalloproteinase, slows down and prevents regeneration of new collagen to replace old damaged ones. This in turn affects skin regeneration and results in the occurrence of wrinkles.

Estrogen Levels

A drop in estrogen levels in our body leads to decrease in collagens. This affects skin repair and regeneration, increasing the likelihood of wrinkles appearing on our skin.

Wrinkle Treatments Available

1. Over-The-Counter (OTC) Medications and Creams

OTC creams containing tretinoin (vitamin A acid) or alpha hydroxy acids are normally used to improve our skin complexion and get rid of wrinkles. Alpha hydroxy acids are common ingredients found in skin care products such as toners, moisturizers and facial masks. Some moisturizers are meant to reduce the prominence of the wrinkles, ie hide them rather than to treat them.

2. Cosmetic Procedures

a. Chemical peels

Chemical peels can be performed on three different levels. The simplest being surface or superficial peel, the second being medium peel and lastly, deep peel. As each name suggests, the level is characterized by how deep the peeling takes place. Alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA) and trichloroacetic acid (TCA) are extensively used.

b. Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is a procedure to scrape away old skin layers using electrical instrument. The purpose of such a procedure is to give the skin a new and smoother surface. The success of such a procedure depends on the skills of the surgeon. Potential pitfalls include permanent scarring and skin discoloration.

c. Laser Resurfacing

Laser resurfacing makes use of carbon dioxide laser to remove wrinkled or damaged skin tissues. This procedure can be done on localized facial areas. As with other laser surgeries, scarring and skin discoloration could take place as a repercussion.

d. Browlift or Facelift

Plastic surgery is performed for a browlift or facelift. Browlift is commonly performed to take care of wrinkles around the eyes, nose and forehead.

Facelifts are the most popular plastic surgeries among folks in the 40 – 60 age range. Facelifts as the name suggests, remove facial wrinkles, reduces sagging and gives patients a brand new radiant to their skin. It is not exaggerative for anyone to look at least 10 years younger after the facelift. That said, nothing can stop or reverse natural aging and the sagging and wrinkles would still appear after a few years.

e. Botox Injections

Botox, acronym for botulinum toxin is used to correct and get rid of wrinkles. It is now the top non-surgical medical procedure for wrinkle removal. What botox does is it paralyzes the facial muscles that are responsible for the frown lines and crows feet. This reduces the occurrence of these wrinkles.

3. Natural Remedies

a. Healthy and Balanced Diet

A balanced diet with right portions of vegetables and fruits especially advocados, helps to build up the levels of antioxidant in our bodies. Avoid junk and fatty foods. Prepare your food with olive oil, dark leafy greens and beets.

b. Sufficient Hydration

Hydrate your body by drinking more water. Water is a natural component that promotes healthy skin.

c. Exercise Regularly

It has been discovered that older folks who exercise regularly have healthier skin.
